Student Ambassador Program Terms
1. Introduction
These terms set out the agreement between you (the "Ambassador") and us (the "Organization") for your participation in our Student Ambassador Program (the "Program"). By joining the Program, you agree to be bound by these terms.
This is not an employment contract. You are not an employee, worker, or agent of the Organization, and no employment relationship is created by these terms.
2. Program Overview
The Program is a mutual benefit arrangement where we provide you with:
- Free access to our memberships
- Complimentary event tickets
- Program merchandise
- Promotional materials and resources to support your role
In exchange, you agree to perform the responsibilities outlined in Section 4 below.
3. Eligibility and Participation
You must be a current student at a recognized educational institution to participate in the Program. We may verify your student status at any time.
Your participation is voluntary, and either you or the Organization can end it at any time without notice or explanation. Upon termination, you must cease using your ambassador status and return any merchandise we request.
4. Your Responsibilities as an Ambassador
As an Ambassador, you agree to:
- Promote the Organization and its activities in a positive and authentic way
- Carry out the promotional tasks you accept to the best of your ability
- Attend events and activities when reasonably possible
- Follow our Code of Conduct in all interactions
- Follow all applicable laws and our policies
- Comply with the social media disclosure requirements in Section 6
You may ask friends or other people to help you with your ambassador activities. However, you are solely responsible for their conduct and any content they create or share on your behalf. The Organization will not provide benefits, rewards, memberships, tickets, merchandise, or any other advantages directly to assistants or friends.
5. What We Provide
The benefits you receive (memberships, tickets, and merchandise) are provided solely in exchange for your participation as an Ambassador. These benefits:
- May be withdrawn if you breach these terms or our Code of Conduct
- Have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money
Memberships are not transferrable to other people.
Materials provided to support your activities as an Ambassador remain the Organization's property and must be returned or destroyed upon request.
5A. Discount Code Rewards Program
Your Discount Code
You will receive a unique discount code you can share with other people. When people use your code to make a purchase, it counts towards a reward.
How to Earn a Gift Card
For every 10 people who use your code to make a qualifying purchase, you become eligible to receive a gift card from us. A qualifying purchase is one the discount code is valid for, and that is not refunded by us.
How We Award Gift Cards
We decide when you qualify for a gift card based on how many people have used your code. We will let you know when you've earned one and arrange how you receive it.
Gift Card Terms
Gift cards:
- Are subject to any terms and conditions set by the Organization or the gift card provider
- Are for your personal use only and cannot be given to someone else
- Have no cash value
- Cannot be exchanged for money
- May expire (we'll tell you the expiry date)
Our Right to Change This
We can change, pause, or stop this reward program at any time. If we find that your code is being used fraudulently or inappropriately, we may remove those uses from your count or end your participation in the Program.
6. Social Media and Content Disclosure
Whenever you post, share, or create content on social media or any other platform that relates to the Organization, its products, services, or events, you must clearly disclose your affiliation as a Student Ambassador.
Acceptable disclosure methods include:
- Using hashtags such as #StudentAmbassador, #AmbassadorforOrganization, or similar
- Including a clear statement such as "I am a Student Ambassador for HCLB Communities"
- Using any other reasonably clear indication of your ambassador status
- Following disclosure guidance provided in other official materials provided to Ambassadors
This disclosure must be:
- Visible and easy to find (not buried in comments or hidden behind a "read more" link)
- Present in the initial post or primary content area
- Included every time you post ambassador-related content
You must not misrepresent your relationship with the Organization, present yourself as speaking on the Organization's behalf unless explicitly authorized, or create misleading content.
7. Content Standards
You agree that any content you create or share as an Ambassador will:
- Be truthful and not misleading
- Not defame or harm the reputation of the Organization or others
- Not contain illegal, offensive, or discriminatory material
- Respect the intellectual property and privacy rights of others
- Comply with the terms of service of any platform you use
The Organization is not responsible for content you create. However, if your content violates these terms or applicable law, we may ask you to remove it or take other action, including terminating your participation in the Program.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Organization is not responsible for:
- Any loss, damage, or injury arising from your participation in the Program
- Any content you create or post on social media
- Any disputes between you and third parties
- Any breach of these terms by you
You participate in the Program at your own risk.
9. Confidentiality
You may receive non-public information about the Organization, its events, or its plans. You agree to keep this information confidential and not share it with others without permission, except where required by law.
10. Intellectual Property
The Organization retains all rights to its name, logo, branding materials, and other intellectual property. You may use these only as necessary to fulfill your responsibilities as an Ambassador and must stop using them immediately when your participation ends.
If you create original content using Organization materials, the Organization may use that content for promotion without payment to you. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and share any ambassador-created content featuring our branding or products.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued participation in the Program after changes are posted means you accept the new terms.
If you do not accept changes, you may leave the Program by notifying us in writing.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate your participation in the Program at any time without notice or cause. Upon termination:
- Your status as an Ambassador immediately ends
- You must stop using your ambassador title and affiliation
- You must remove or update any content that identifies you as an Ambassador
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these terms or the Program will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that part will be removed, and the rest of the terms will continue to apply.
These terms, along with any policies we provide to you, make up the entire agreement between us regarding the Program. No other promises or agreements apply unless in writing and signed by both parties.
You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else.
